Bruno and renowned pianist Otmaro Ruiz (Venezuela / Los Angeles) performed a unique duo concert at the charming stage of Companhia Sarau in Campinas on July 21st. The repertoire featured compositions of both.
While in Brazil, renowned Venezuelan pianist based in Los Angeles, Otmaro Ruiz performed 2 shows in São Paulo, at JazzB, on July 19 and 20. With Bruno Mangueira, Rogério Botter Maio and Celso de Almeida.
After presenting the show "Bruno Mangueira invites Filó Machado"at the Santa Jazz Festival 2018 , the musicians performed a duo presentation. On June 23, at Chorus School of Music’s Bebeto von Buettner Room, in Campinas.
Bruno performed at the 2018 edition of the Santa Teresa International Jazz and Bossa Festival, having as guest the singer, composer and guitarist Filó Machado. With Fábio Leandro (piano), Thiago Alves (bass) and Paulo Almeida (drums).
On May 25th, Bruno performed with Los Angeles saxophonist Mark Isbell, at Chorus Music’s Bebeto von Buettner Room, in Campinas (SP). The show featured Daniel Ribeiro "Pezim" on bass and Paulinho Vicente on drums.
After a 10-concerts tour in 2017, the show "Zizi Possi sings Chico e Edu" was presented for the first time in Sao Paulo, at the Porto Seguro Theater, on May 4th. In an intimate setting, Zizi is accompanied on this show by Bruno Mangueira and pianist Keco Brandão.
In March Bruno received his brand new JSaraiva Clave model guitar, made by renowned luthier Josino Saraiva. With impeccable finish and performance, it has versatility for both Brazilian and jazz music, fitting perfectly into Bruno's style.
On April 7 Bruno participated in the concert of France-based Brazilian saxophonist Sérgio Galvão at Clube do Choro de Brasília. The repertoire included Sérgio's compositions and arrangements recorded on his CDs Phantom Fish and 2x2.
On March 28, Bruno debuted his local trio in Brasília, with bassist Daniel Castro and drummer Pedro Almeida, in the "Jazz in the World" series, at Galeria Mundo Vivo.

On January 18, Bruno performed a solo show of the CD Camburi, at the auditorium of Rede Gazeta, in Vitória. The album features guest appearances by Leila Pinheiro, Filó Machado and Beth Bruno.

Bruno participates on Brazilian major singer Zizi Possi’s new show, dedicated to songs by Chico Buarque and Edu Lobo, in an intimate trio setting with pianist-arranger Keco Brandão. In 2017 the tour had ten shows, going through Fortaleza, Recife and Londrina.

Clube do Choro de Brasília
On April 29, in one of the main stages of the federal capital, Bruno presented his new project, with choros, sambas and other Brazilian rhythms, with the guitar as a soloist. The repertoire included Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim and Dominguinhos, among others.
On April 7, Bruno performed in the theater of the historical 1934 building, which currently houses the Sesc Glória, in Vitoria, Brazil. It was the closing concert of the Jazz Circuit 2017. Check out the beautiful photos by Fábio Machado on Bruno's Facebook page
In February, Bruno performed at the renowned Vibrato in Los Angeles, as a special guest on Grammy nominated Brazilian singer Catina DeLuna's show. The group included pianist and arranjer Otmaro Ruiz, bassist Edwin Livingston and drummer Ana Barreiro.
Bruno performed a solo guitar concert at Galeria Vinicius de Moraes, at the General Consulate of Brazil in Los Angeles. It was a preview of his new CD, recorded in the US, in the finalization phase. The same night featured artist DCastro's exhibition opening.

Bruno performed at the beautiful First Unitarian Church building, in Cincinnati, OH. The repertoire featured compositions and arrangements by Bruno and pianist Phil DeGreg, also with the participation of bassist Aaron Jacobs and drummer John Taylor.
